Tides Terms of Service

For the Tides Discord bot, dashboard, appeals, tickets, and related services.

Effective date: August 17, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Tides. By inviting, configuring, accessing, or using Tides, you agree to these terms and to Discord's applicable terms and policies.

Services Covered

These terms apply to the Tides Discord bot, dashboard, appeals system, ticket features, public leaderboard pages, music features, support server, and related Tides websites or services.

Discord Relationship

Tides is not affiliated with Discord Inc. Use of Tides also requires compliance with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, Developer Policy, and any other Discord platform rules that apply to your use.

Server Owner and Administrator Responsibility

Server owners and authorized administrators are responsible for how they configure Tides in their Discord servers. This includes moderation settings, automod rules, logging, ticket transcripts, appeals, role automation, leveling, welcome messages, custom commands, and any other enabled feature.

If you enable a feature that logs, stores, or displays user activity, you are responsible for using that feature lawfully and transparently in your community.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Tides to:

Moderation, Appeals, Tickets, and Logs

Tides provides tools for server staff, but final moderation decisions belong to the relevant server staff. Appeal submission, ticket creation, or use of Tides does not guarantee a response, reversal, refund, restoration, or specific outcome.

Moderation cases, reports, appeal records, ticket transcripts, logs, and related staff notes may be retained for server management and accountability as described in the Privacy Policy.

Dashboard Access

Dashboard access is based on Discord OAuth and server permissions. You may only access or change settings for servers where you have permission to do so. Permission changes in Discord may affect your dashboard access at any time.

Music and Third-Party Content

Tides music features may resolve or play content using third-party platforms and search providers. Availability, quality, metadata, playback behavior, and links may depend on those third-party services. You are responsible for using music features in a way that follows Discord rules and applicable third-party terms.

Availability and Changes

Tides may be changed, rate-limited, paused, disabled, updated, or discontinued at any time. Features may not always be available, and no uptime, delivery, moderation result, appeal result, music playback result, or data recovery guarantee is provided.

Termination or Restrictions

Access to Tides may be restricted, disabled, or removed for abuse, security risk, violation of these terms, violation of Discord rules, infrastructure harm, or other behavior that puts Tides, users, servers, or the platform at risk.

No Warranties

Tides is provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranties are made about reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or error-free behavior.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tides and its owner/operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost access, moderation outcomes, server configuration mistakes, service interruptions, third-party platform issues, or other losses related to use of Tides.

Privacy

Use of Tides is also governed by the Tides Privacy Policy, which explains what information Tides accesses, how it is used, and how data requests can be made.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as Tides changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made. Continued use of Tides after changes means you accept the updated terms.
